Well no in fact I don't I'm just trying to. And I'm also struggling not to become homeless next month which explains my tone. But I didn't post to apologize about private life issues. > So > fix it then. TW developers don't work for you. They're doing what they > like to do and helping out where they can. In a way you're touching the general issue of opensource, so I won't begin such a debate, because who gets paid and why should be discussed in general oss places and maybe not here. Nevertheless, it seems to me that most cms are developping in two directions: - A user-friendly tool, and in that case a feature that still allows non permitted users to see its buttons should be considered beta - A development platform for higher-end customized sites, and in that case the site developper should be able to rely on highly optimized code. It seems to me TW is presently somewhere between the two, whereas Xaraya for instance is clearly unmanageable for unexperienced webmasters, and Mediawiki is clearly user-oriented. Maybe that explains why many people hesitate to install TW. However there IS a need for a sophisticated wiki with user rights. |
