[Tikiwiki-devel] Upgrade for Wiki Page History - I'm offering to pay $$

Hi all

I have come to find the functionality of tiki-pagehistory.php is lacking for
the needs of my users: a co-op board of directors revising by-laws.

Key upgrades requested:
* diff shows difference by the character rather than line
* Compare any selected versions 

Basically, I'd like to get the history function on par with Wikipedia 
e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=Main_Page&action=history

Do others agree this is a worthwhile upgrade?


I'm offering to pay - but how much will depend on coder offers.  I'd prefer
to pay a developer who has already contributed to the project.  If anyone
else wants to help pay to make sure this happen soon, let me know.


I'd like to see this implemented in version 1.8 and up.

I'll work with the developer to tweak the .tpl files and write documentation
