TI2BioP allows mainly the calculation of topological indices (spectral moments) derived from inferred and artificial 2D structures of DNA, RNA and proteins being possible to carry out a structure-function correlation irrespective of sequence alignments.
TI2BioP version 3.0 is a python platform with a graphical interface designed for Windows, Linux and Mac OS.
Features
- DNA/RNA and protein sequences are arranged into an artificial 2D space
- 2D-RNA folding information contained in Xfasta and CTs is imported
- Spectral Moments as Topological Indices (TIs) are calculated from 2D artificial and more accurate DNA/RNA and protein graphs
- TIs are used to develop alignment-free (AF) models for functional/structural annotation
- TIs are also used to estimate (AF) distances for phylogenetic analyses
