Do you have recent source to TclAE? Do you need it? Very kind Jon, I was hoping to include TclAE, some form of tclAppleScript, the 'resource' command, and a bunch of other choice packages into TclOSA at some point. I had picked up TclAE2.0 expecting that I'd be able to keep it somewhere in the Tcl.component/Contents/Resources folder and load it as a package. Is that not possible? OSA components can do quite a bit with AppleEvents and can also implement custom component procedure handling (with agreed upon selector IDs). Currently, TclOSA opens a private connection to the AppleScript component, so you'll have a complete range of facilities available in that regard once they move beyond stub status. I believe I could also supply a pointer to the main Tcl_Interp, a hook for initializing it, and the host application FSRef in an AppleEvent if you need it. Philip Aker http://www.aker.ca |
