I think if no widget had more than one of these options, unifying them to just -variable would be OK, since the widget would then define the "type" of the variable. But there are widgets like [radiobutton] that get their label text out of -textvariable and use -variable to store their current value, so at least -textvariable needs to stay. cu Reinhard |
