Hi. My advice here is to focus on writing a really good application to be a student in the GSoC programme. Going by previous years, it's a very competitive process but it really helps to do good descriptions of what you want to do, how you're going to do it (especially a project plan with milestones) and how you're absolutely the best person for the job. The better the application, the easier it is for us to get you accepted. :-) I think the student application process hasn't opened yet, but it's still a good time to be working out what you want to write. It's good to be ready ahead of time! Donal (likely mentor for the Garbage Collector project). |
