Category: 37. File System Group: current: 8.4.19 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: mike (evilmike) Assigned to: Kevin B KENNY (kennykb) Summary: correct struct _REPARSE_DATA_BUFFER in tcl 8.4 Initial Comment: Hi, it would be very nice if one could apply this patch also to the 8.4 core branch http://tcl.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/tcl/tcl/win/tclWinFile.c?view=diff&r1=1.95&r2=1.96 the problem: 8.4 uses wrong Vista part of union under XP SymbolicLinkReparseBuffer but should use MountPointReparseBuffer. The definition of _REPARSE_DATA_BUFFER is also wrong, missing ULONG Flags in SymbolicLinkReparseBuffer. Problem occurs if compiler (e.g. newer mingw) defines the correct struct itself. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Kevin B KENNY (kennykb) Date: 2009-10-20 19:53 Message: No problem with backporting, Sorry that I missed it. It should be Mostly Harmless to backport 1.97 and 1.98 as well. Might be a few days before I get to it; I hope that there isn't a rush to make 8.4.20. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Don Porter (dgp) Date: 2009-10-20 11:50 Message: kbk, this was your commit. Do you know of any reason a backport to 8.4 should be rejected? mike, why not just use release 8.5.3 or later, where things are already fixed? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=110894&aid=2882342&group_id=10894 |
