You have to add it manually, like so: menu .mb.help -tearoff 0 .mb.help add command -label "PortAuthority Help" -command runHelp .mb.help add command -label "Contact Code by Kevin" -command getHelp .mb add cascade -label "Help" -menu .mb.help This is on Tk-out-of-the-box. f you're using ActiveState's bits, perhaps they hard-code these items in their basekit, but that would surprise me.
