Category: 66. Aqua Window Operations Group: obsolete: 8.4.1 Status: Open Resolution: None >Priority: 4 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Daniel A. Steffen (das) >Summary: Checkbutton text wraps when it shouldn\'t, Aqua Initial Comment: Checkbutton text wraps even though the checkbutton is allowed to resize to accomodate the text. This happens on Aqua Tk 8.4.1 when the checkbutton font is set to something smaller than the default font. The following wish script demonstrates the problem. wm geometry . 400x100 checkbutton .b -text {This text should not wrap} -font {system 8} pack .b The text in the checkbutton is wrapped onto two lines even though there is adequate space for it to be on one line. Removing the font option causes the text to be displayed on one line with no wrapping. The problem appears to be that the checkbutton does not correctly calculate the space needed to display the text on one line when the font is something other than the default font. This bug makes preference dialogs with many checkbuttons a mess of wrapped text where no wrapping is needed.
