Category: 66. Aqua Window Operations Group: development: 8.5a4 >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Submitted By: Vince Darley (vincentdarley) Assigned to: Daniel A. Steffen (das) Summary: TkAqua creates window with "temp" as title Initial Comment: This script: destroy .tt ; toplevel .tt ; wm title .tt "" ; wm transient .tt . ; wm title .tt "" results in a window with 'temp' as the name in the titlebar! As well as this peculiarity, doing [wm title $toplevel ""] on any window has no effect at all. On other platforms this sets the title to the empty string (so there is no title shown). On MacOS X it is just a no-op. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Daniel A. Steffen (das) Date: 2006-04-10 19:32 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=90580 fix committed to HEAD and core-8-4-branch. The empty window name was being disallowed explicitly for no good reason (it works perfectly fine at least on Tiger) but internal structures were still set as if the name had been propagated to Carbon... The bogus "temp" window name has been changed to the empty string, this is the initial name given to a window created with the old API used to implement non-default window styles, normally it is reset to the Tk window name when the window is first mapped but due to the above bug it ended up not being changed... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=112997&aid=1450800&group_id=12997 |
