Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Carlos Tasada (ctasada) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Fatal Error in Wish with string range Initial Comment: I'm using Tcl 8.5 Beta 4 from ActiveState. And seems to be a really strange problem. Here is the script to reproduce the bug: (bin) 1 % set value Name Name (bin) 2 % set value [string range $value 0 1] Na (bin) 3 % if {$value == ""} {puts "CRASH"} Then shows: Fatal Error in Wish in TclParseNumber: bad acceptState, can't happen. I've solved the problem using if {[string compare $value ""]} {puts "CRASH"} If you need some extra information don't hesitate to contact me.
