Commands A-H Group: 8.4.2 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 8 Submitted By: Jeffrey Hobbs (hobbs) Assigned to: Donal K. Fellows (dkf) Summary: format %lf 1 can crash Linux Initial Comment: It was reported and confirmed that format "%lf" 1 can crash some Linux machines. The problem is that the 64-bit handling in 8.4 converts this to "%llf" as the specifier, which not all libc's appreciate. Note that pedantically correct would be "%Lf", but %lld is what we want for ints, so I don't know how we will reconcile this. We could just trick it just for format to use 'L' in the long case of doubles only. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=110894&aid=702622&group_id=10894 |
