Win Fonts Group: : 8.1.1 >Status: Pending Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Brent B. Welch (welch) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Text kerning too tight on some I18N chars (worse than in 8.0) Initial Comment: OriginalBugID: 2027 Bug Version: 8.1.1 SubmitDate: '1999-05-10' LastModified: '2000-02-25' Severity: MED Status: Assigned Submitter: foster ChangedBy: hobbs RelatedBugIDs: 4075 OS: All Windows OSVersion: NA Machine: NA FixedInVersion: NA Trying the following on wish 8.0: set x \xef\xbf\xae ; # i-umlaut, upside-down ?, r-Registered label .l -text "abc$x" pack .l -padx 4 -pady 4 gives nice even spacing for all six characters. But in wish 8.1+ the c is followed too closely by the i-umlaut, making sort of an a-umlaut. Verified for the default (proportional) font of labels in 8.2. -- 12/14/1999 hobbs ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Jeffrey Hobbs (hobbs) Date: 2001-11-06 12:31 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=72656 This seems to be OK for 8.3.4 using the default label. It's tight but there is space. Also note 478568. I've moved this to pending, unless someone finds that this still isn't satisfactory (notice Windows was specified, and I only checked on Win2K). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=112997&aid=220818&group_id=12997 |
