[TCLCORE] someone add this mailing list to gmane?

I received a notice in the tcl-core admin mailing queue that
gmane has received a request to add tcl-core to the gmane
mailing list to newgroups gateway / archive.  Is this a valid
request that someone submitted, or is this possible spam abuse
of email addresses?
