Hi, BBedit suddenly does not like files with the tcl extension. If I create a file with the tcl extension when it is saved it somehow gets tagged with the "AppleScript Editor" as the application to use to open the file !!! I can change the "creator" with the <cmd><i> back to bbedit but using the "change all" button in the finder get info window immediately changes the creator back to AppleScript editor. If I edit a file and use 'save as..." if I have a tcl extension then the new file will be tagged as a AppleScript Editor file... I have deleted the BBedit preferences and the AppleScript Editor preferences and rebooted but it did no good. [time passes] Arrrgh AlphaTk does the same thing...Is there a 'rebuild desktop' type of of command in MacOS X? I am not a strong programmer any more so I have to do a lot of editing... Jerry |
