Hi all, I am happy to announce the long awaited fix for the rendering bug of Asian glyphs. (it nearly drove me crazy). This was especially visible when selecting characters or positioning the caret. Now WordWrap, Highlighters and Selecting, caret positioning, scrolling do work with Asian glyphs. If you wrote a custom Highlighter, you should adapt the Next-method: Simply add at the end of the method a call to inherited Next; This has already been done with all Highlighters supplied with the SynEdit package. I now consider Unicode SynEdit to be as stable as the ANSI SynEdit Beta, which should be okay for production use. If you waited for Unicode SynEdit to become stable, you now should consider using it in your programs and tell the bugs that are left. Please look if the bugs are Unicode SynEdit specific. I hope this make some of you happy too (I got many request, but not much positive feedback). Cheers, Maël. |
