Hi Will, > Let me know if you have issues before you get annoyed and > decide 'this PXE rubbish is too hard' -- it's quite useful. > If I could only get to implement a network file system... This PXE rubbish is too hard! ;) I've gotten this far: - I have successfully set up PXE, TFTP and a DHCP server. - The client gets an IP and downloads pxegrub from TFTP. - pxegrub finds the network device, but then seems to lock up. The last thing I see is this: ---- ROOT SERVER IP: 192.168.0.7 Found Realtek 8139 at 0xec00, ROM address 0x0000 Probing...[Realtek 8139] - ioaddr 0XEC00, addr 00:E0:.... 10Mbps half-duplex Address: 192.168.0.100 Netmask: 255.255.255.0 Server: 0.0.0.0 Gateway: 192.168.0.1 ---- No GRUB prompt, no response to keystrokes. "Server: 0.0.0.0" doesn't seem too good, but shouldn't I get the grub> prompt anyway? Any ideas? Cheers, Henrik |
