Please formally add snmpv3 code. Little by little I am forced to stop using switchmap as sites I work with are dropping v2 completely for security reasons.

Great tool. We also need SNMPv3 (security reasons, PCI standard).

Ok, I'll get it done soon. Actually, Peter Harrison added support for it and sent me diffs, and I integrated his changes into the most recent code. Thanks, Peter! The problem is that his solution only works if you use SNMPv3 for all devices. You can't have a mix of some v3 and some v2 devices. I wanted to fix that before releasing.
Nevertheless, I need to get the new version out, once I resolve a few issues. It's been way too long.

Happy New year right back. i just released version 14.0. It has support for SNMP v3, provided by another SwitchMap user. I don't have v3 on my network, so the new code may hve "issues" :-) Please let me know.

Is there any chance SNMPv3 will be supported soon? Plaintext passwords are not acceptable and will prevent users from using this tool.

Could you give an estimate when the update will be available?
