Admittedly, I haven't been so active lately so I'm not entirely up to speed on all of that stuff. However, I have sometimes thought "gee, this sure doesn't sound much like most releases in the 1.3.x series." For a long time, this 1.3.x series has been aimed at producing SWIG 2.0. Maybe we should just do it and get it over with ;-). Especially if we're potentially going to change a lot of stuff with the next release. All that said, I wouldn't say this is something that I have especially strong feelings about at the moment. However, there has been an usually large flurry of activity related to the release candidates. Reading some of the bug reports got me thinking that maybe this really isn't SWIG 1.3 any more.
