Hello Ramona et al., this is to tell you the good news that I could successfully install sue on my ubuntu 10.04 system with the help of your scripts - it worked at the first attempt! As far as I could test in little time, sue seems to run normally - now I shall go in depth by testing the various aplications. Two observatoins so far - one for sure connected with sue, the other for sure not: The sue-specific one first: When sue is running, and I switch to the first text console with alt-control-F1, then brltty doesn't recognize my transition to text mode, which means that I cannot read any characters in Braille on the console. When i quit sue and start Orca, I can do this again. Now the second observation, which is not connected with sue, but with the new Gnome 2.3 shipped with ubuntu 10.04: I can no longer use alt-control-tab to navigate between the various edge panels. More precisely: If I open the application menu with alt-F1 and close it with Escape, then I am on the Desktop, but alt-control-tab does not have any effect anymore, which means that I cannot get the icons for important applications - firefox and so on -, or the buttons to switch off the computer. Any comments to both observations would be most helpful. With kind regards, Bernhard |
