the size differential may not actually be all that bad, between a Universal that should run on 10.3, and a plain old 10.4 Universal. if anyone knows of a 10.3 macosx user who can spare a bit of time to test the thing, i'd be much obliged, there don't seem to be any nibbles form the feedback forum. platform specific bytes in a single-platform build is about 10%, and that doesn't change really much at all with the 10.3 strategy i've found that i need to see run on a 10.3 machine. the other 90% is resources and Qt libraries, which are already Universal. a compressed 0.9.1 Universal build will be about 46 or 47 megs. cheers, Nigel |
