I'm not sure why Eclipse is looking for a main method for your service.....I imported the sample DeviceService.java file into Eclipse and it compiled without any errors. I believe you'll need to manually create the service jar file (outside of Eclipse), using the instructions in the STAF Service Developer's Guide (http://staf.sourceforge.net/current/stafsdg.html#Header_Building_Java_Service). Eclipse looks for main but staf service does not have main. Is there a way to compile this staf service from within eclipse and how do I then create a jar once I have everything in place?
