I have a big problem with Gap4 v.4.7. Everytime I open a database, the program says, that this database is busy. I tried to delete this file, but it doesnt work. At work I have v4.7, at home I have a newer version and at this version it works. I transfer the databases from home to work and from work to home. Is it possible, that this 2 versions are not compatible?

The versions should be compatible with one another. It's perhaps something else causing it to incorrectly claim it is busy such as file permissions.
Please carefully check the permissions on the .0 file (or whatever), the .0.aux file and the directory they are in (it needs to be able to create a new file - namely the .BUSY file).
