I'd try changing that first. Also, the gateway entry in the cvip.conf I think is only necessary if you are doing HA-LVS NAT and I don't see it specified and I think the default is DR. (And it looks like you don't need HA-LVS NAT in this case as each node has access to the 10.0.1.0 network.) If you were using HA-LVS NAT, the gateway address would have to be an unused address on the ICS network. (Such as 192.168.0.254) For ordinary networking, I think you want to add the gateway to the /etc/network/interfaces file for each node. I don't play with Debian or CVIP much, so I hope someone speaks up if I am misleading you.
