I'm not aware of anyone trying OpenAFS but we have run with Lustre and there is a README available on how to set it up. Lustre has been used as a root filesystem (as well as just application filesystems) but I don't think the howto for that is available yet. =20 Bruce P.s. we have only done OpenSSI as lustre clients.
