Hi Rudi, Have you been able to make any progress on this? If you're still stuck, I suggest taking a step back and trying to mount a non-root GFS partition on a OpenSSI cluster. That would indicate whether this is a problem with GFS itself, or if it's a problem with mounting GFS as a root filesystem during boot. Something to keep in mind is that you should directly mount a GFS partition on every node, rather than mounting it one one node and using CFS to mount it on other nodes (like you do with ordinary filesystems such as ext3). It is not necessary (and potentially broken) to use CFS with a cluster filesystem like GFS. The default /cluster/lib/cfstab file tells the mount command to directly mount non-root GFS filesystems on every node (rather than using CFS). This file, however, is not used in the initrd for mounting a non-root filesystem. It's possible that your initrd is mounting GFS with CFS.
