Hi

Yes, I already did that, and there was no activity. My guess is that PHP
wasn't compiled with LDAP support, but that will be a pain to sort out
because I installed it using AbriaSoft, a pre-compiled package, and I'll
need to make sure I preserve other settings I need.

first thing i would do is fire up tcpdump and take a look to see if you
are even firing out a request to the remote machine (port 389). if so
then i would take a look to see what the conversation looks like
(ethereal is a good tool for that). as long as you aren't using ldapS
you will be able to see where the queries are failing.
