It's a little off-topic, but I'd guess that phpGroupware isn't working much with us basically because we're not doing things their way. They suggested we use their APIs and things, and we responded by choosing ZooKeeper instead. We believe our solution is a better foundation to work from than theirs, for our current set of needs. We wanted to create something new and clean from what we'd learned from the 1.X series, rather than adopt a different project with someone else's baggage. Just two cents from someone who followed the phpGroupware discussions closely.
