Thank you verry much for the prompt response. Your estimation was 
correct the patch you recommended to apply appears to solve my issue. 
Now I can use utf-8 languages in squirrel mail no mather how the 
received messages are encoded.
I have verified this by using slovak and czech squirrel mail languages.
