[SM-USERS] [newbie] Sent email status

We've just started using squirrelmail  (1.2.10)
in our organization and I'm pleased to report that 
we have many happy users. :-)

A common requirement from many of our users is that
after they compose & send an email, they'd like
some notice whether the email was sent
successfully or not (sort of like yahoo, hotmail
and most other web-based email systems do)

Right now, after an email is sent, it simply displays
the main page.

I searched on the archives but couldn't find any links.
So I poked around in the code. I think I should add
some link to a message status page after the calls to
"sendMessage" in compose.php, but I'm not quite sure how to 
get around doing it.

Has anyone got a solution or tips on how I can provide this
status notification for my users?
