The two best solutions I've seen out there are qmail and postfix, which can both be interfaced with an IMAP server such as Courier or Cyrus, keeping all user info stored in something like MySQL. There is lots info out there (admitedly, it's piecemeal in many ways) on creating such systems... it's more a matter of nailing down your SMTP/IMAP solution first, and then SM can usually be adapted to most of the common implementations. We could talk more details (and I could tell you why I like postfix better, etc.), but I'd say you need to make your decision outside of the SquirrelMail context for the most part. cheers, paul |
