Some suggestions to this plugin which has survived unchanged (almost sharklike in perfection) since the dark ages of 2003. 1. How about a recovery alert on login? A lot of users don't even know they can recover an email. If they accidently close their browser it would be nice to have a pop up as soon as they log in "You were composing a message which you did not send. Would you like to resume it?" Saves them having to click on Compose. 2. Why on earth do you offer a miliseconds setting? That's riduclous and asking for trouble with older computers. Have it like auto-refresh. A drop down list of sensible values starting at 10 seconds up to 2 minutes. 3. Display of Encryption options optional (actually this might be in there already). 4. JS Eye-Candy: Something in the title bar which shows "Message Autosave Done" every x seconds when it happens. 5. First 3 lines in recover message box. 6. Ideally no pop up at all but instead a nice blue button "Recover Last Message" which people can click to load in their last message (appears only if applicable). Less annoying and slicker. Ignoring quicksave requires no action as opposed to pressing Cancel. Quicksave is a genius lifesaver. We don't want the popup to become an annoyance! 7. Version recovery. Allows you to recover the version from x minutes ago. 8. Remove mail size limit - use the drafts folder to store copy(ies) of inprogress emails? ================================ In summary point 6 is the only one I *really* would love. That pop up can get in the way sometimes. |
