Hopefully someone here might be able to answer a question about file uploads. Currently I have 1 user that I know of that can not upload files for attaching to email messages. I've already checked all the regular limitations including Apache's LimitRequestBody, php's conf on post_max_size, upload_max_filesize, and memory_limit. All of these are at a sufficiently large size for the document that is trying to uploaded. When I discovered the user was on dial-up I went back through the php configuration and did some calculations to determine how long it would take a person to upload the maximum file size(9MB) we are allowing. The length of time it could take for a 14.4kbps modem is about 5000 seconds. So from this I determine a more appropriate max_execution_time and max_input_time would be around 5000. Any ideas on why this user would be having problems? I do realize there are other people that do not have problems, but I would like as many people as possible to be able to use Squirrel Mail with no problem.
