Thank you, that is very similar to what I'm wanting, and it helps a 
lot.  The only difference is something I forgot to specify in the first 
e-mail:  I'm also wanting the joins from the object (specifically I'm 
using RelatedJoins, but in general I'd like 'em all).

Is there a way to get the joins, too?
