#1884: Firebird: on delete restrict doesnt exists. ----------------------+----------------------------------------------------- Reporter: guest | Owner: zzzeek Type: defect | Status: new Priority: medium | Milestone: 0.6.xx Component: firebird | Severity: minor - half an hour Keywords: | Status_field: not decided upon ----------------------+----------------------------------------------------- Changes (by zzzeek): * status_field: awaiting triage => not decided upon * severity: no triage selected yet => minor - half an hour * milestone: => 0.6.xx Comment: If your application requires the specific semantics of RESTRICT, as described at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreign_key#RESTRICT , then your app is not compatible with Firebird. Instead of using an incompatible keyword and having the firebird dialect silently fall back to non- compliant behavior, the application should be adjusted to not require RESTRICT. So I am -1 on this change for now, will wait for other input. -- Ticket URL: <http://www.sqlalchemy.org/trac/ticket/1884#comment:1> sqlalchemy <http://www.sqlalchemy.org/> The Database Toolkit for Python |
