Spyrit v0.4 released.

It's been a long time coming, but Spyrit v0.4 is there.

A lot of things were added or improved since 0.3. Spyrit now implements pattern matching and highlighting. A new sound engine can play notifications when a pattern matches. Spyrit can now be configured using input commands; type '/help' in any open world to find out more. Spyrit MUSH/MUCK client releases version 0.3.

Spyrit v0.3, codenamed "Still Alive!", has just been released.

This is an interim release on the way to 1.0, and showcases the many improvements that its codebase has received since the last official release: full Unicode support, split-screen on scrollback, improved activity notification in tabs and taskbar, and many more.

Spyrit is a cross-platform MUCK/MUSH client which aims to provide a pleasant, fast and robust textual roleplaying experience. It supports ANSI colors, per-MU* configuration, tabs, multiline input with unlimited history, and more. It is written with the Python language, using the Qt user interface toolkit.

Spyrit v0.2 released.

Spyrit is a MUSH/MUCK/MOO client written in Python using the Qt toolkit. It aims to be a pleasant, extensible, polished product, and to support all three major platforms.

Spyrit v0.2 is still a few features short of going gold, but should already be usable and pleasant to use.

Version 0.2 implements ANSI format codes rendering, preliminary Telnet negotiation support, SSL encryption where supported, unlimited input history, plus a few minor improvements and speedups.... read more

Spyrit project releases v0.1

The Spyrit project (finally!) releases its first usable beta version.

This initial release is intended primarily for developers. Users will find it lacking in features as of yet.

The core engine upon which the future features will be built has been implemented, and this release is meant to showcase it and give it a chance to prove itself in the real world.
