Hi all, After about two or three weeks with much testing, I decide to release a physics change for car2-trb1, one of my favorite cars. It's suspension, aerodynamics, and tyres have gone through some major revisions in order to make the driving more realistic. WARNING: SIMUV3 _ONLY_!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The car setup and physics are built entirely around SimUV3, DO _NOT_ DOWNLOAD THIS IF YOU ARE _NOT_ USING SIMUV3. Okay, warnings aside, here's some notes about the new physics. Aerodynamics: The front and rear Clift values have been increased to 0.775 all-round, which should produce much greater downforce without wings. Angles of the wings are set up in such a way that the car has a lot of rear-end grip (4/16 front/rear). Suspension: You can now lower car2-trb1 to 50 mm, though for very, very obvious reasons that's a bad idea. The suspension is also much softer than before, to reflect on real-life GT cars' data. Bellcrank is also increased to cope with both the softer suspension and the lower ride height. By default, the setting for ride height is 75 mm front and 90 mm back, because of the softer back and greater mass in the rear. Do note the slow/fast bump and rebound: rebound is almost always double of bump. Using the "old" setup of bump and rebound makes the car really unstable. Tyres: The stiffness is decreased for a slightly more dynamic cornering, without compromising the realism too much. Dynamic friction is also increased to a full 100%, to increase forgivingness under cornering. Also, the friction is lowered by 0.2, to give drivers less leeway about flooring the throttle... you now have to feather your way through a curve or else say hi to the armco. Through the setup you can also define the tyre pressure, like in the SuperCars set. Others: The weight distribution changed to 45% F / 55% R to increase that Porsche feeling. Bigger piston area for rear brakes. Maximum value for brake bias 0.85 because of handling nature under too much rear braking. The default is set to 0.7. General Notes: Front is stiffer than the front for some understeer... I kept in mind that noobs should not have too much of a hard time handling the car, but that more experienced drivers should also have some fun with the default setup if they are new to a track. To fully enjoy / get frustrated, play on pro mode. Amateur is for total n00bs ;), and Semi-pro just isn't fun. The car is not balanced with others. I changed the name to "Stuttgart 961 TRB".
