OK, I've just submitted to CVS code to handle buffer underruns. But I suspect there may be some sort of remaining performance issues. Something to try if things don't sound right. Run with the -V option and look for a message about your hardware not supporting the sample rate of the audio file. Note the new value it is forcing the sample rate to be. Next, try creating a new copy of the file at that sample rate (sox original.wav -r 48000 new.wav). Then try to play the new file and see if it sounds better. I think there is an issue with how long it takes to do the resample operation and feeding data to the hardware fast enough. Not sure how to resolve that right now. Chris |
