I've poked around online and in the list archives, but I can't find any info regarding my problem. I've written a c++ program that forks, calls play, and records the pid of the child process running play. My program gives me the option of killing that child thread, except it never works, because apparently play never stops playing in response to a signal. I tried SIGTERM, SIGKILL, and SIGSTOP, but it just keeps on going. I've messed around with play from the command line, thinking perhaps it was just my code, but I can't get the music to stop. Any suggestions? Thanks! Ralph Rodkey |
