Category: None Group: None >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Chris Bagwell (cbagwell) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Use dlopen for MP3 libararies instead of linking in Initial Comment: Since its a common issue to distribute binaries with MP3 libraries, a common solution is to compile against the required libraries but use dlopen() instead of linking the libraries in. When the external library can not be opened the application should gracefully handle that and disable the feature. This would allow us to distribute the cygwin binary with MP3 support but require the end-user to obtain their own MP3 DLL's. This would also help distributions such as Debian and Fedora which do have MP3 packages available. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Reuben Thomas (rrt) Date: 2011-03-02 14:32 Message: This has been implemented. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=360706&aid=2473456&group_id=10706 |
