In both the Request and the Response windows, I am unable to use the keyboard shortcuts CTRL-C, CTRL-X, CTRL-V for copy, cut, and paste respectively.
I'm using Eclipse Juno SR1 (Build 20120920-0800) and SOAP UI Eclipse Plugin 4.0.1 on a Windows 7 64-bit system. But I see that other users from other OSes and releases have the same issue -- related to #2007173. Other plugins installed such as BIRT does not have this issue; I can copy, cut, and paste using the keyboard. I've tried launching both my text editor and Eclipse with "Run As Administrator" and that did not make a difference.
One observation is that when I first launched Eclipse and when into the SOAP UI, I was able to paste what was already in my clipboard. Subsequent copy from another app and pasting into SOAP UI/Eclipse did *not* work. I also do see Cut/Copy/Paste options available from the Eclipse menu bar.
When Eclipse loses mouse focus, that is is another app is clicked, and you go back into Eclipse/SOAP UI, then the keyboard shortcut commands do not work. Also the Cut/Copy/Paste options are no longer available from the Eclipse menu bar.
Mouse right clicking for cut/copy/paste works, but it's becoming a nuisance. Please fix.
WORKAROUND/FIX?
According to this (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=368354#c14), if you "Unbind these keys from Preferences -> General -> Keys seem to solve the problem."
This setting worked for me.
