We need documentation.  There's a promising ioctl() in Linux driver for
these controllers (IDAPASSTHRU), and there's a DIAG_PASS_THRU controller
command, which may or may not be used to address physical disks.  If
there's no documentation, perhaps we could reverse-engineer existing
Compaq management tools for Linux...
