Hey Mark, I just downloaded the Windows 9.6 for Vista and later and got an error after trying to run on my 64Bit Windows 7 machine. When attempting to run the program an error window pops up saying it can't start due to missing MSVCR120.DLL.
Hi, would you mind looking in test testing folder for a zip containing this DLL, and unzip it and copy it to the SleepyHead folder, and letting me know if it works?
I will update the main zips afterwards to include the DLL.. I just want to make sure there aren't any other missing.
/Mark

I unzipped the msvcr120.dll and copied it into the folder that contained the other dll's and sleepyhead executable. I tried to run the program and still get the popup saying that MSVCR120.dll is missing and can't start. Do you think a restart would be required to register the dll?

Couldn't register on SourceForge so I'm using my wife's log-in for this. I decided to bite the bullet and upgrade SleepyHead from .93 to the latest .98 64bit version.
I'm getting the "SleepyHead-OpenGL.exe - System Error" which says that it can't start because MSVCR120.dll is missing.
Any suggestions would be most welcome.
This upgrade adventure has been interesting to say the least. Here's a bit of history in case it's of use to you.
Yesterday I started off downloading the 32 bit version of .98. I installed it and ran the BrokenGl executable. I got as far as trying to import data from the CPAP machine card and when I did so SleepyHead crashed big time.
So I deleted everything SleepyHead off my system (download file, executable and data) and started anew.
I again downloaded the 32 bit version of .98 and this time used the OpenGL executable. This time I was able to have SleepyHead read the CPAP card and load the data. However, this time I could see daily results but "Overview" was empty / contained no data.
That brings me up to the present where this time I've downloaded the 64 bit version of .98 because after all I am running the 64 bit version Windows 7 Professional.

Hi IPS THANKS FOR RESPONDING!!! I've been dead in the water for the last 2 weeks waiting for a reply - any reply :-)
SourceForge still won't let me register. It tells me that my e-mail address has an account but it won't send me a password so I'm still having to use my wife's log-in.
About a week ago I'd given up hope and decided to install .96 and when I did so I got yet another message saying that my computer was missing a dll file (don't remember which one it was).
Before going further I should mention that about 30 years ago I worked for a time as a programmer (Fortran & Assembly) so I'm not a complete idiot on this stuff, just a semi-idiot- - also, I'm not up to speed on all the latest stuff.
I went to the page you linked to and, because I'm running the 64 bit version of Windows 7, I tried downloading the 2nd item (vcredist_x64.exe). I tried it several times an for some reason it will not download. So I tried downloading the 1st item (vcredist_arm.exe) and it would not download either.
Then thinking that maybe it had downloaded, searched my system for vcredist_x64.exe and found 4 occurrences of it. They were all dated back in 2011 and 2012. Three of them are in an AMD folder and 1 is in an intel security setup folder.
On the page that you referred to there's also a link for downloading something called Visual Studio Community for 2013. I've started downloading it in hopes that the files that I need are in it. Hopefully I'm not off on a wild goose chase.
I'll post a message if this works.
Thanks again

Just wondering: Which folder did you install it into or did you have a choice? Don’t know if SleepyHead is looking for dll’s in specific folders or not.
My download of Visual Studio Community for 2013 has completed and I see that there’s now a new copy of vcredist_x64.exe in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0\VC\…… folder.
Haven’t tried installing SleepyHead 0.9.8 or 0.9.6 so I don’t know if I’m going to have to execute vcredist_x64.exe in order to make it so that SleepyHead has access to MSVCR120.DLL or any other dll files that it’s expecting to find..
Thanks again

My error Mark,
I tried to run it again and it is indicating a different file is missing. MSVCP120.dll.

Hmmm... This is because I started using Microsofts most recent compiler to build.
Maybe there is a new VC++ distributable binary that needs running.
Perhaps try installing the correct version of this VC runtime?
http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=40784
Ugh.. Microsoft's latest (2013) compiler only wants to target builds for Win7 Service pack 1 and greater, unless I resort to voodoo.
Microsoft is trying really hard to kill off old versions of windows.
I'm going to go back to MingW for the BrokenGL "run-everywhere" builds, and hopefully VC2012 for the Vista or greater ANGLE builds.
Yay.. more build system updates for me on my hyperslow ADSL. :-}
I was seeing these same errors on Windows 8.1. The errors went away after I installed the Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013.
I'm running SleepyHead-Testing-0.9.8-1-Windows-64bit.

Sounds like your computer is missing the Microsoft VC2013 Visual Studio runtime..
I've gone and misplaced the link. Please let me know if this is the wrong one..
