Hi everyone! I'd like to take some time to think about the Shinken project. Almost 4 year since the first tag, (2010-05-28 23:22:39 +0200 (tag: 0.1) ), I don't know what Jean was expecting but we have come a long way now. Shinken is another example showing open source communities can build great things together. I'd like to thank everyone for that :) Shinken started from a "simple" monitoring software and has evolved to a monitoring framework, reflecting the growth of the community. More people interested in Shinken => More features requested => Shinken evolution. I really think (and some of you will agree) 2.0 release is a good moment to be even more efficient. What do I mean? Well, it's only about being clear on what we are doing and how we are doing it. I've open a ticket named 2.2 "Roadmap" on github (https://github.com/naparuba/shinken/issues/1175), feel free to add feature request or your own work if you have the right to commit upstream. Jean started to add his stuff, I'll do the same. Regarding github issues, we should also stick to something. Issue are not really made for getting "simple help" : if you are experiencing some weird behavior of course you need help, but keep in mind that to fix a bug we have to be able to reproduce it. Time is precious, issues should be as clear as possible. The README has been updated by Andreas ( https://github.com/naparuba/shinken/blob/master/README.rst#if-you-find-a-bug) a while ago. Of course guys, we are trying to do our best to help you and keep things up to date. We know the documentation is not perfect yet, which is the first step to get users comfortable with Shinken. Help is always wanted on the project, and new ideas are welcome. Thank you again for helping Shinken Sébastien COAVOUX, Shinken Development Team Member GitHub <https://github.com/Seb-Solon> - Twitter<https://twitter.com/Seb_Cvx> 2014-04-17 7:54 GMT-04:00 nap <nap...@gm...>: > Quick bug fix version, 2.0.1 for the HTTPS users: the certificates > hostname were not looked by the pycurl lib, even with the > hard_ssl_name_check, now it's ok > > If you don't use HTTPS or if you don't have your own certificates with the > good names, forget about this update :) > > > Jean > > > On Wed, Apr 16, 2014 at 8:30 PM, nap <nap...@gm...> wrote: > >> >> >> >> On Wed, Apr 16, 2014 at 3:51 PM, Imrane DESSAI <des...@gm...>wrote: >> >>> Congrats !!!! >>> >>> What is snapshot about ? >>> >> >> That's quite simple in fact.
