Windows XP, 32-bit
Intel Core 2 duo
3 Gb RAM
I compressed a set of files into an 11 Gb file that took about 90 minutes. Then I started a split file command based on 4 Gb, then cancelled 5-10 minutes later. It left the first part. Would the original file still be intact, or would some of it have been moved to the first part?
When I attempt to combine files, it reports it can't find all the parts. I would like the peace of mind to have you tell me my original file has not lost any data.

The "Split" command doesn't change original file.
