Thanks Karsten, I will paste it on the installation guide of SMW 1.8 Do you know if we can rue the runJobs.php script for accelerate the refresh of Data ? If I understand correctly steps 5,6 and 10,11 are done during the date refreshes ? Thanks for this solution Cheers Nicolas NALLET > http://semantiki.fr > http://domotiki.eu -----E-mail d'origine----- De : [[kgh]] <med...@kg...> A: semediawiki-user <sem...@li...> Envoyé le : Je, 20 Déc 2012 17:49 Sujet : Re: [Semediawiki-user] Upgrading to SMWSQLStore3 (?) Heiya, I have just successfully migrated one wiki to SMWSQLStore3 without using the shell or other voodoo. However this may take some time for big wikis due to the time the two data refreshes need. Still you wiki will be fully functional since you use SMWSQLStore2 during the time the two data refreshes need. If you are on a public wiki you will want to follow these steps: 0) Back up you installation and database 1)Set $wgReadOnly = 'site maintenance'; in your LocalSettings.php 2) Move the new files for SMW and Validator into the extensions directory 3) Go to Special:SMW-Admin and hit "Initialise and upgrade tables" 4) Return to Special:SWM-Admin and hit "Start updating data" 5) Add $smwgDefaultStore = 'SMWSQLStore2'; to your LocalSettings.php below the enableSemantics line 6) Comment out $wgReadOnly = 'site maintenance'; 7) After the data refresh is done you do step 1) again 8) Comment out $smwgDefaultStore = 'SMWSQLStore2'; in your LocalSettings.php 9) Do step 4) again 10) Do step 5) again 11) Remove $wgReadOnly = 'site maintenance'; from your LocalSettings.php 12) After the second data refresh is done you remove $smwgDefaultStore = 'SMWSQLStore2'; from your LocalSettings.php 13) Voilà, your are on SMWSQLStore3. Paradise regained. :) If you are sure that nobody will edit the wiki during this process (e.g. closed wiki) you may drop the steps containing $wgReadOnly Cheers Karsten Am 20.12.2012 16:21, schrieb Nicolas: > I have a shared hosting too and I can only execute php file like php > /home/yourlogin/www/mediawiki/extensions/semanticmedia > wiki/maintenance/SMW_refreshData.php > but without arguments because spaces are forbidden. > > I will try to workaround that by creating 2 new php files : > > http://semantic-mediawiki.org/wiki/Semantic_MediaWiki_1.8.0/php_SMW_refreshD > ata.php_-v_-b_SMWSQLStore3_-fp > http://semantic-mediawiki.org/wiki/Semantic_MediaWiki_1.8.0/php_SMW_refreshD > ata.php_-v_-b_SMWSQLStore3 > > In which "if conditions" of arguments like -b -v -fp are hard coded with 1 > (so they are always true) and the argument option of -b is hardcoded with ' > SMWSQLStore3 '. > > If somebody who knows php language could check if everything is ok before my > attempt it could be nice. > > Thanks, > > Nicolas NALLET > http://semantiki.fr > http://domotiki.eu > > > -----Message d'origine----- > De : Martin Renvoize [mailto:ash...@gm...] > Envoyé : jeudi 20 décembre 2012 13:38 > À : sem...@li... > Objet : Re: [Semediawiki-user] Upgrading to SMWSQLStore3 (?) > > If your shared hosting is of the cPanel variety then you can often run these > scripts through the cronjobs. > > Login to your cPanel and find the schedule jobs section.
