Hi, There are two administration-related MediaWiki extensions that now support Semantic MediaWiki and many of its related extension, which should both make life easier for SMW administrators. First, the Admin Links extension, which creates a new special page, called 'AdminLinks', that holds links useful to administrators; when an administrator is logged in, a link to this page appears at the top of each page (alongside "my talk", etc.). This extensions now supports, in addition to SMW, the extensions Semantic Result Formats, Semantic Forms, Semantic Drilldown, Replace Text and Data Transfer. You can read more and download it here: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Admin_Links Second, the Configure extension, which I just discovered recently: it lets administrators set the global variables that are normally set within LocalSettings.php, directly through the wiki. It can set values for both MediaWiki and its extension. The Configure extension now supports, in addition to SMW, Semantic Result Formats, Semantic Forms, Semantic Drilldown and External Data. You can read more and download it here: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Configure I would encourage all administrators to consider using these extensions. -Yaron |
