I brought up a similar request on this list recently ("Semantic Drilldown questions / feature requests") and plan to give a shot at implementing it myself, and coincidentally this is the week I was planning to start my attempt. No promises on it succeeding, but I will try. I want to run my thoughts on the implementation by the group first, though. We already have a pattern for something similar in the formatting of results from an query, namely in specifying the "format" and "template" arguments. Then of course you can display your results in any of the SRF formats, or as an ordered list or your own template or whatever, and optionally specify a template for the display of each individual result. So I'm thinking that in the category definition page, much like we have a has filter::MyFilter property specifier in the body text, we could add additional properties such as has format:: and has template::. The result is that you could use any of the SRF formats, even a calendar or timeline, for output just like in the query syntax. I've barely seen the code, although I did do some digging around SD the other week, and I imagine this could turn out to be extremely difficult depending on how tightly coupled the existing presentation code is with the rest of the SD implementation. So I have no idea where this is leading me. Probably good to at least start the discussion, regardless of whether I end up being the one to implement it.
