Since upgrading our wiki to SMW 1.3* a problem seems to have occured that is affecting a significant number of our existing pages. For some while now, our users have gotten into the habit of including wiki links within text-type properties, either to link to other pages or to include images. Since one part of our wiki includes a SMW-based blog system, the practice has proven very useful. Up until the update, this always worked without issue. However, we are now seeing problems, these being: a. On the page (hosting the property) itself, the text (that contains links) is reproduced as expected, but enclosed in square brackets and the property name. i.e. the content 'this is a test' gets displayed as '[[BlogText:this is a test]]'. The links and images do appear as expected, though. b. When the page is queried as part of a report, with format=template, the text box is returned empty - no text, links, images or anything. (if the links are taken out, then the property is returned in full). Up until now, such queries have been an integral part of our system. c. When the page is queried as part of a report, with format=embedded, full entries are returned, but with the format problem described in point 'a' above. (the embedded option is new to us, but seemed worth exploring, in relation to this problem) At present, this issue is proving particularly problematic for us, as many users have been posting blog entries on a regular basis. So, is this behaviour a bug? Have I missed something that's been newly introduced or tidied up? Or were we not supposed to have been using links within text properties in the first place? Guy * we missed out on the release immediately previous, so the problem may stem from there - I can't tell. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Wiki-links-within-text-properties-%281.13-issue..%29-tp19435147p19435147.html Sent from the Semantic Mediawiki - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
