I think I got past that problem (apparently kernel-devel was required in addition to kernel-source), however now I only get a little further in the QLogic docs - step 13-b-2 fails. Lots of errors - here's the start: In file included from /root/scst/qla2x00t/qla2x00-target/qla2x00t.c:42: /root/scst/qla2x00t/qla2x00-target/qla2x00t.h:26:21: error: qla_def.h: No such file or directory /root/scst/qla2x00t/qla2x00-target/qla2x00t.h:27:23: error: qla2x_tgt.h: No such file or directory /root/scst/qla2x00t/qla2x00-target/qla2x00t.h:28:27: error: qla2x_tgt_def.h: No such file or directory In file included from /root/scst/qla2x00t/qla2x00-target/qla2x00t.c:42: /root/scst/qla2x00t/qla2x00-target/qla2x00t.h:118: error: expected specifier-qualifier-list before âscsi_qla_host_tâ /root/scst/qla2x00t/qla2x00-target/qla2x00t.h:178: error: expected specifier-qualifier-list before âport_id_tâ /root/scst/qla2x00t/qla2x00-target/qla2x00t.h:220: error: expected specifier-qualifier-list before âatio7_entry_tâ /root/scst/qla2x00t/qla2x00-target/qla2x00t.h:235: error: expected specifier-qualifier-list before âabts24_recv_entry_tâ /root/scst/qla2x00t/qla2x00-target/qla2x00t.h:246: error: expected specifier-qualifier-list before âatio7_entry_tâ /root/scst/qla2x00t/qla2x00-target/qla2x00t.h:272: error: expected specifier-qualifier-list before ânotify_entry_tâ /root/scst/qla2x00t/qla2x00-target/qla2x00t.c:59:2: error: #error "CONFIG_SCSI_QLA2XXX_TARGET is NOT DEFINED" /root/ From: Gropper, Lance Sent: Friday, September 21, 2012 3:37 PM To: scs...@li... Subject: Can't build SCST for CentOS 6.2x64 Hello: I'm trying to build a QLogic target with scst for CentOS 6.2x64 (minimal install -Kernel 2.6.32-220). I tried two different sets of instructions, and both don't work. When I follow the how to configure QLogic target driver...document, I get to step 9, and it says there is no /usr/src/linux/.config file. If I skip it, on the next step, make bzImage fails. Using a different method, if I download the source for scst - just scst and nothing else, and try to build it, following the instructions in the readme_RHEL - this step: cd "/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/kernel-2.6.18/linux-2.6.18.$(uname -m)" - that folder doesn't exist - in fact, the /usr/src/redhat/BUILD folder is empty, despite the previous step.
